SoCal's Oldest Oktoberfest

The Oldest Oktoberfest in Southern California takes place at Alpine Village in Torrence, a quick trip from the Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood. The festival kicked off on September 11th and runs until October 31st.  In the 48th edition of this event, Alpine Village hosts German inspired parties every weekend, beginning at 5pm on Fridays and 6pm on Saturdays, for those 21 and over. If you’re looking for family friendly time, you’ll want to visit the village on Sunday. The German fare includes bratkartoffeln (potatoes), sauerkraut, and traditional Bavarian sausages, and the beer menu includes Warstiener Pilsner, Warsteiner Oktoberfest, and Konig Ludwig Oktoberfest to name a few. And of course the mood is enlivened by oom pah pah band and live polka music. In Munich, the 2016 Oktoborfest has ended, but in LA the party is just getting started!
